Every year, cannabis enthusiasts across the city mark 4/20 by stocking up on their favorites, connecting with local dispensaries, and celebrating a culture with roots far deeper than any single holiday.
At New Dia Cannabis Co., 4/20 is less about a single transaction and more about a full experience that’s shaped by community, culture, and a retail concept unlike anything else on the East Coast. If you’re planning your visit this year, here’s what to know before you walk through the door.
New Dia in Fenway: Boston’s Cultural Cannabis Destination
New Dia sits just behind Fenway Park in the heart of one of Boston’s most storied neighborhoods, close to Kenmore Square and the iconic Green Monster. Our address, 71 Lansdowne St, Boston, MA 02215, puts us squarely in the middle of the action, which is fitting for a dispensary built around the idea that cannabis retail should feel like something.
New Dia operates as the East Coast’s first cannabis mall, blending retail with cultural programming and community gathering. The Black Walls Gallery is designed for artists, performers, educators, and anyone who believes in what cannabis culture can become. The Dia Lounge hosts classes, private events, and ongoing cultural exchanges that make New Dia a destination throughout the year, not just on 4/20.
Our open hours run daily from 10 AM to midnight, which means there’s no rushing. In-store pickup and online ordering are available, so you can plan your visit the way that works best for you.

What to Know Before Your 4/20 Visit to New Dia
ID and age requirement: Massachusetts recreational cannabis is available to adults 21 and older only. Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID.
Purchase limits: State law caps purchases at 1 ounce of flower per transaction, or the equivalent amount in other product types like edibles or concentrates.
Payment: We currently accept cash, Debit, and DutchiePay only.
Transport: Keep cannabis sealed and stored out of reach while driving. Massachusetts follows the same principle as open container laws for alcohol.
If you’re making a full day of it, the Fenway neighborhood has plenty to offer beyond New Dia. Fenway Park is steps away. The Museum of Fine Arts Boston on Huntington Avenue is about a 10-minute walk.
The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on Evans Way, a Venetian-palace-style building housing one of the most distinctive private art collections in the country, is a short walk from there. Kenmore Square has restaurants, bars, and shops worth spending time in before or after your visit.
Plan Ahead and Make New Dia Your 4/20 Home Base in Boston
4/20 deals in Boston come and go fast, and the dispensaries that draw a crowd are the ones that earn it year-round. New Dia has built something in Fenway that goes beyond a transactional retail experience. A space rooted in culture, community, and the belief that cannabis belongs in a bigger conversation about who gets to participate and what that participation looks like.
